EPRM poziv "Poboljšanje uvjeta u područjima pogođenim sukobima širom svijeta"
Deadline: 19 September 2017
The European Partnership for Responsible Minerals (EPRM) is seeking proposals for its grant program in order to improve conditions in and around mines and for the miners concerned in conflict-affected and high-risk areas.
The European Partnership for Responsible Minerals is a multi-stakeholder partnership established to create better social and economic conditions for mine workers and local mining communities, by increasing the number of mines that adopt responsible mining practices in Conflict and High Risk Areas (CAHRAs).
Three critical changes in the supply system have to be achieved to enable responsible production of minerals in CAHRAs: there has to be assured demand (from downstream actors), there has to be transparent a supply line from mine to smelters (midstream), and mines have to be strengthened and enabled, technically and financially, to apply best practices in mining.
- An overall ceiling of €1.5 million applies to European Partnership for Responsible Minerals Fund grants.
- A grant under the European Partnership for Responsible Minerals (EPRM) Fund is intended for activities that contribute to the EPRM’s objective. The maximum grant for a project is €450,000.
Applicants may be companies, knowledge institutions, public or semi-public bodies, or non-governmental organisations (NGOs), regardless of the country in which they are registered and, in the case of a consortium, in any combination.
