From May 16th to May 19th, the regional project team of the Gender Budget Watchdog Network gathered in Albania to hold a regular meeting of the Network.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Centre for Civil Society Promotion, Gender Knowledge Hub, Kosovo Women’s Network, Center for Research and Policy Making, Keystone, Women’s Action, and Gender Alliance for Development Center.
In addition to regular reports on the activities of partner organizations, the representatives discussed the Network’s funding model, revised the Statute, and held two important meetings with representatives of donors – the Austrian Development Agency and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
Upcoming activities are also planned to contribute to the networking of civil society organizations whose goal is to tackle issues related to gender equality and gender responsive budgeting, and to, through those, raise awareness of the importance thereof.
On the last day of the meeting, the representatives of the Gender Budget Watchdog Network organized a meeting with the project evaluators so that they are able to take into consideration the evaluation recommendations for the future work of the Network.
